2. Use of This Website

This website is provided for general information, enquiries and bookings relating to our training services.

You must use this website lawfully and must not:

  • misuse, interfere with or attempt to gain unauthorised access to the website or its systems;

  • copy, scrape, reproduce or commercially exploit any content without our written permission;

  • use this website in any way that may damage, disable or impair its operation.

We may update, suspend or withdraw any part of the website where reasonably necessary.

3. Booking Your Course

Before making payment, learners must contact A Security Academy Ltd by phone or WhatsApp to confirm the course, date and availability.

A booking is only confirmed once we have accepted it and the required payment has been received.

We reserve the right to refuse or decline a booking where:

  • no place is available;

  • the learner does not meet the course requirements;

  • the required information or documents have not been provided;

  • payment has not been received;

  • we reasonably believe the booking cannot proceed properly, safely or in line with our course requirements.

4. Course Information

We aim to ensure that all course information, pricing, dates, venues and availability are accurate at the time they are published or communicated. However, we may need to update or amend course details from time to time.

Any website description, marketing wording or promotional content is intended as general information and does not amount to a guarantee of qualification, licence issue, employment, job placement or regulatory approval.

5. Fees and Payment

All prices are stated in pounds sterling (£).

Payment may be required in full, or partly as a booking fee or deposit, depending on the course or offer.

No course place is secured until the required payment has been received.

Where any remaining balance is due before the course start date, that balance must be paid on time. We reserve the right to refuse entry where fees remain outstanding.

6. Booking Fee

Where a booking fee is taken, it secures a place on the selected course date.

The booking fee is non-refundable where the learner:

  • cancels the booking;

  • fails to attend;

  • arrives more than 10 minutes late;

  • fails to complete mandatory pre-course requirements before Day 1;

  • fails to provide required certificates, documents or evidence before Day 1;

  • is refused entry because the stated entry requirements have not been met.

Learners who fail to meet mandatory pre-course requirements, fail to attend, cancel, or arrive more than 10 minutes late may be refused entry and will forfeit their booking fee.

If A Security Academy Ltd cancels the course and no suitable alternative date or course is agreed, the learner will be refunded the full booking fee and any other course fees paid for that cancelled course.

Nothing in these Terms affects any statutory rights the learner may have.

7. Distance Bookings and Statutory Cancellation Rights

If you book online, by phone, by email, WhatsApp or by any other distance method, you may have legal cancellation rights under UK consumer law.

Where those rights apply, they apply only to the extent required by law.

If you ask us to begin supplying services, e-learning, downloadable materials, workbooks or other digital content during any cancellation period, you agree that:

  • we may charge for services already supplied up to the date of cancellation where the law allows;

  • where digital content is supplied with your express consent and acknowledgement, cancellation rights in relation to that digital content may be reduced or lost where permitted by law.

8. Pre-Course Requirements

It is the learner’s responsibility to ensure that all pre-course and entry requirements are fully met before Day 1.

Depending on the course, this may include:

  • valid photo identification;

  • proof of address;

  • valid first aid certification where required;

  • the required ACT certificates;

  • completion of course-specific workbook requirements;

  • completion of course-specific e-learning;

  • any additional documents or evidence requested by us before the course start date.

Failure to meet these requirements may result in refusal of entry to the course.

9. Attendance and Timekeeping

Learners must arrive on time and be ready to participate fully.

Learners arriving more than 10 minutes late may be refused entry. This is because late arrival may affect mandatory contact time, health and safety, assessment integrity, examination arrangements and the learner’s ability to complete the course correctly.

No refund will be due in these circumstances unless required by law.

10. Fitness to Attend

Learners are responsible for ensuring that they are physically, mentally and medically fit to attend and participate in the course they have booked.

If a learner has any injury, medical issue, disability, learning need or other circumstance that may affect safe participation, they should notify us before the course begins.

We will consider reasonable adjustments where appropriate, but we cannot guarantee that every course can be adapted in every case. We reserve the right to refuse attendance where participation would be unsafe, unsuitable or non-compliant with course requirements.

11. Learner Conduct

All learners must behave professionally and respectfully at all times.

We reserve the right to refuse entry or remove any learner from a course if they:

  • behave in a disruptive, abusive, threatening, discriminatory or inappropriate manner;

  • fail to follow instructions from trainers, staff or invigilators;

  • create a health and safety risk;

  • appear to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs;

  • interfere with the learning, safety or assessment of others;

  • act dishonestly during training or assessment;

  • damage property or equipment.

Where a learner is removed for conduct reasons, no refund will be due unless required by law.

12. Assessments, Examinations and Certification

Learners must comply with all attendance, assessment, identification and examination requirements.

Successful completion of training does not guarantee:

  • a pass in any examination or assessment;

  • the issue of any certificate or qualification by an awarding organisation;

  • the issue of any licence by a regulator;

  • acceptance by any third party;

  • employment or job placement.

All qualifications, certificates, examinations and licensing outcomes may be subject to separate rules, decisions and checks outside our control.

13. Retakes and Exam Offers

Where a package expressly includes any retake offer, exam support, warranty or similar benefit, that offer applies only in accordance with its written terms.

Unless expressly stated otherwise in writing, course fees do not include unlimited retakes, reassessments, rebookings, replacement certificates or administrative resubmissions.

14. Course Changes and Cancellation by Us

We reserve the right to amend a course date, venue, trainer, timetable, room, delivery method or other arrangements where reasonably necessary.

If A Security Academy Ltd cancels a course and no suitable alternative is agreed, the learner will be refunded the full booking fee and any other course fees actually paid for that cancelled course.

Except where liability cannot legally be excluded, we are not responsible for indirect or consequential losses arising from course cancellation, postponement, relocation or rescheduling, including loss of earnings, travel costs, accommodation costs or third-party expenses.

15. Website Content and Intellectual Property

Unless otherwise stated, all content on this website, including wording, branding, course descriptions, graphics, logos, materials, downloads, slides and training documents, belongs to A Security Academy Ltd or its licensors.

You may access this website for your own personal, lawful use only.

You must not, without our prior written permission:

  • copy or republish website material;

  • reproduce or duplicate content for commercial use;

  • sell, rent, sub-license or distribute our materials;

  • use our logo, branding or artwork in a way that suggests endorsement or association.

16. Third-Party Links

This website may contain links to third-party websites, platforms or services for convenience only.

We do not control third-party websites and are not responsible for their content, availability, security or privacy practices. Your use of any third-party site is at your own risk.

17. Privacy and Data Protection

We process personal data in accordance with applicable UK data protection law.

Details of how we collect, use, store and share personal data are set out in our Privacy Policy.

By contacting us, submitting information or booking a course, you acknowledge that we may process your personal data for purposes connected with enquiries, bookings, training delivery, assessments, certification, compliance, quality assurance, health and safety, legal obligations and customer service.

18. Cookies

Our website may use cookies and similar technologies.

Strictly necessary cookies may be used without consent where required for the functioning of the website. Non-essential cookies, including analytics, advertising or similar tracking technologies, should only be used in line with our cookie settings and applicable law.

Further information is available in our Privacy Policy and Cookie Notice.

19. Liability

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability which cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

Subject to the above, our total liability arising out of or in connection with any booking, website use or service shall be limited to the amount paid by the learner for the relevant course or service.

20. Events Outside Our Control

We are not liable for delay, postponement, rescheduling or cancellation caused by events outside our reasonable control, including severe weather, transport disruption, venue unavailability, staff illness, technical failures, emergency incidents, industrial action or government restrictions.

Where reasonably possible, we will try to offer a suitable alternative.

21. Complaints

If you are unhappy with any part of our service, please contact us using the details on our website and we will try to resolve the issue fairly and promptly.

Nothing in this clause limits any legal rights you may have.

22. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The version in force at the time of booking will usually apply to that booking unless a change is required by law or clearly communicated.

23. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.

Any dispute arising in connection with these Terms or our services shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, unless the law provides otherwise.
